yeah but about a year of rubbing your finger on it does remove some of the protection. that is what happened with my ipod touch

The iPhone display (from my understanding) is made of a material that does not scratch.
What are u talking about? With no screen protector the screen gets scratched and it looks shit. Whereas a screen protector keeps it from damage. Also, screen protectors do not ruin the screen, you can take them off and they look fine.
I would never ruin any of my Apple products with a screen protector.
Both my iPod Touch and Macbook have a glossy display and I am happier with that than to apply something that I would regret.
